Rainbow Corner Kids Club

General Information

At Kids Club we aim to provide a setting that is homely and comfortable but also functional. We have a wide variety of activities on offer and children are free to choose what they do.

The building has a large main activity room, a small kitchen, a lounge with TV, a computer/games room with a wii and 2 computers, a room with dressing up clothes and dolls, a cloakroom, 4 toilets and an accessible toilet, and two separate outside play areas.

The building and outside areas are securely fenced and access to and from the building requires a key.

Mornings

The kids club is open from 7.30 for children who attend Holton le Clay infant and junior schools. Junior school children are escorted to school using a walking bus with everyone wearing fluorescent jackets. Infant school children are escorted to their classrooms and handed over to the care of their teachers. At the morning kids club breakfast is available as an option at a nominal extra cost.

After School

Infant children are collected by a kids club member of staff and walked round to kids club. Junior children meet playworkers at the bike shed prior to walking back to kids club. We are able to collect a limited number of children from Tetney primary by arrangement. 13 After school a tea consisting of sandwiches, toast or crackers, a biscuit and fruit is offered via a cafeteria system and is included in the cost. During school holidays a two course cooked lunch and the usual cafeteria tea is on offer. The Kids Club is open until 6pm and children can be collected at any time before this. The kids club staff are led by Kathleen and Julia supported by Wendy J, Wendy L and Rosy. Sometimes practitioners from the nursery help as well.
